Police have caught 44 speeding drivers in just one hour in east Leeds.

Officers set up cameras on Selby Road and the Ring Road at Colton on Friday morning.

It was part of a National Police Chiefs Council operation to make motorists aware of the fatal consequences of speeding.

Officers caught 44 drivers exceeding the 40mph speed limit in just an hour.

One driver was caught at a speed of 58mph.
